Beginnings Matter

Principles of life, relationships, family, work, rest, environment and almost everything else that shapes our daily experience are established in these chapters.  Having clarity about the beginning of all things elevates the potential for meaning and better yet, life-repair.

But many people of faith tend to be either embarrassed or embattled about these chapters because others point to them as proof that the Bible is “scientifically impossible, historically unreliable, and socially regressive.” (Tim Keller, The Reason for God)  So, this week we begin by understanding how we are to read the Bible.  How have Christians thought it could be inspired by God but written by primitive people with all of their limitations and cultural biases?
