Camp Chestnut Ridge This Sunday!

Camp Chestnut Ridge This Sunday!

This Sunday (Jun 5) we have the pleasure and joyous occasion to get out of the confines of Creekside Elementary and celebrate the baptisms of a couple folks in our community.

Instead of meeting at Creekside, we’ll take our worship on the road and meet at Camp Chestnut Ridge in Efland, NC (directions | website).  We’ll gather at 10:30 and enjoy an unplugged, outdoor worship experience in the shade by the lake.  We’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper, hear some testimonies of God’s faithfulness in the lives of those being baptized, and share some great time of fellowship and fun together.  No food will be provided so be sure to bring your own picnic, chairs, blankets, etc.

Unfortunately the pool looks like it will be unavailable to us because it is undergoing an inspection process.  We will have some pavilion shade, as well as some ice cold water to give us a reprieve from the heat.  If the pool somehow becomes available, we’ll send out another notice.

Because last weekend was Memorial Day, and many people were traveling, if there is someone you think isn’t sure that we’re going out to Chestnut Ridge, catch up with them and make sure they know (I like to think of this as an informal phone tree).  Also, because gas is high and CCR represents a longer drive for most, think about carpooling to get out there.

Look forward to seeing you all this Sunday and for rejoicing together for what God has done and is doing in the life of our church!
