Verbs.

At the beginning of a New Year it is a good exercise to consider what verbs you want to most characterize your life.

What are some of yours?

Focus? Exercise? Believe? Love? Learn? Lose Wight? Lead? Change – like to a different job, different car, different house?

I like to begin each year by looking at a Psalm, a passage that will help me identify God-type verbs.

This Sunday at the Gathering Church I will teach from Psalm 37:1-8. It has some great verbs. But, it starts out with a negative one: ‘don’t fret.’

How did God know that for many of us our starting place is worry, stressing, or just plain frustration?

The alternative verbs are good, really good.
