This Sunday night, Chris Breslin will be speaking at The Gathering Church, at 5:00 pm, United Church, 1321 MLK, Jr., Blvd., Chapel Hill. Chris begins his second year at Duke Divinity School this fall. He has been serving at a couple of Methodist churches not too far from here this summer, but has managed to stay involved with The Gathering Church. Chris and his wife, Rachel, came looking for this new church venture right after we started, and have been a vital part of what’s developing.Â
As Chris and I met and he told me about what he will be teaching this week, I got excited about an important insight he will bring to our group. I won’t give it away here, but, let me just say that I think that God will be thrilled if we get even a hint of the truth that Chris will be sharing.
Libby and I will be in Hudson, MA, visiting friends from our former church, as well as participating in a benefit concert for Todd MacDonald, a young Nashville musician who is battling cancer. Then we will be at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire for the week. We’ll be back next Sunday.
