I’m committed to my life not meaning as much as it could.
I have never heard anyone ever say that about their life. Any index used to describe what makes a person happy and fulfilled always includes something about having meaning and significance.
So, no one decides to blow off the potential of their life. But, it happens.
Jesus’ language for a life that matters is fruitfulness.
This Sunday at the Gathering Church we will look at one of the most well-known stories Jesus told about a life that thrives. It’s found in Mark 4:1-20, the parable of the sower, the seed and the soils.
Each week in the news we hear about someone else who has done something to mess up their life. If I ever get perfect maybe I will judge someone else. But, I want to understand those things that will wreck our lives.
More immportantly, I want to understand what helps us thrive.
This Sunday we will let Jesus tell a simple story. It has a good ending.
