This Sunday – March 21

This Sunday – March 21

“Forgive many things in others, nothing in yourself.”

“Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names."

I’m not going to bother to tell you which Roman poet and which American President were responsible for these quotes.  But, the quotes are still remembered because people thought they made sense.

I guess they do, but they would flunk Jesus’ test on forgiveness.

This Sunday:  What We Most Need to Know About Forgiveness.  That is, forgiving others.

Jesus tells a story about forgiving others in Matthew 18:21-35.  It doesn’t’ have a happy ending, but it contains a life-changing principle.

Wouldn’t it be something if the first thing that anyone thought about Christians was, “They are the most forgiving people!”

Did you realize the only phrase in the Lord’s Prayer that Jesus explained was the one about forgiving others?

Forgiveness . . . . . . . why is it such a big deal?

Sunday.

Also this Sunday – the Crop Walk for Hunger.  Join Libby and me and others in this walk.
