The Power of Money.
It was a record. The money spent in the presidential election far exceeded anything spent before. Some Super Pacs were spending a million dollars a week on advertising. The losing party was shocked that it lost. It may have had the largest donors.
Yet, the power structures didn’t change. Same president, same Congress, same Senate as far as control. Critics of campaign spending were quick to say that all of that money changed nothing.
What power does money have?
This Sunday at the Gathering Church I will complete a message series, Surprising a Deficit World with Generous Living. Check out 2 Corinthians 9:6-15.
You might be surprised to find out that money does have a lot of power. It actually has the power to reverse the root disconnect between people and God. Even though the love of money is the root of all evil the generous use of money can be the cause of a great harvest of grace, goodness and gratitude.
