prayer

  • Prayer is an important part of our community.  In addition to, or perhaps primary to our singing and hearing of the Word on Sundays, we invite you to come early (10:00am) to pray for our worship, our church community, and the wider community we serve.
  • Also, please use the comment function below to post wider, more public prayer requests.  This is meant as an opportunity to share in each other's joys, burdens and concerns.  If you are sharing something about someone else, please get their permission to post their joy or concern.

Click here to explore what, when, where, and for whom you can pray or download the 5on5 card.  This is meant as a resource to help us "love others well through prayer by being present to God on their behalf."  Mark speaks about this during his sermon on "Priest-training."

  • Please pray for our family friends, the Waechters, who recently lost their sister(/-in-law) Mallory to a fatal blood infection and pneumonea after a long battle with cystic fibrosis.  Pray that they might have peace, comfort, and the hope of seeing her again. -The Breslins

I have found that if I feel God wants me to pray about something, it is always best if I do… Right then. This can freak people out. Discernment plays its part, but instead of telling someone "I will pray for you", which is not a bad thing, I try and pray for them right then and there. If I wait, there is a good chance I will forget or put it off. If you ask "Can I pray for you now?" A person can always say no… but what if they say Yes? Chances are you will both walk away with some peace and less of the burden on your shoulders, having just given it over to God. Jesus prayed Then and There. I am Far From being like him!!! I cant really get away with laying hands on a customer at work, as much as I'd like to "Would you like a refill on that diet pepsi and may I lay hands on you and pray"… but at least being open to praying Then and There is a start.
